Signing a tripartite memorandum of cooperation and understanding with the Polish Mazovia Cluster ICT and the Space Bridge Fund.

On January 11, Head of the Board Volodymyr Stavniuk signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation and understanding with the Polish Mazovia Cluster ICT and the Space Bridge Fund.

Tetiana Tsilenko, Head of the International Department, Lena Bragarnyk, Deputy Head of the Inventions Support Department, and Andriy Vynnychuk, Deputy Head of the International Department also took part in the meeting.

Mazovia Cluster ICT was established out of Market, Consumption and Business Institute initiative in 27 of November 2007. To date, Mazovia Cluster ICT has got more than 140 commited participants – 5 Research Institutions, 6 Universities and plenty of other entities including SME`s, NGO’s, investment funds and large companies.  Moreover, Mazovia Cluster ICT cooperate with Warsaw City Council, Co-Generation Commerce and Industry, The Office of the Marshal of Mazovia, Polish Chamber of Commerce of Electronic and Telecommunication, Bulgarian ICT Cluster, Oslo ICT Network.

In 2015, Mazovia Cluster ICT obtained a status of Key National Cluster (there are only 7 KNC in Poland).

Space Bridge Fund is a public-private early stage technology seed funding instrument, combining the private capital equity investments with a nonrefundable public grants into the high growth potential, technology oriented companies in space-related industries,

The Fund intends to invest in start-up companies realizing projects in Proof of Concept and Proof of Principle stages by providing them initial non-equity financing before the start-up company is incorporated (“pre-equity investment stage”) followed by the private capital equity investment (20%) leveraged with a public grant (80%) (“equity investment stage”)It should be added that in 2019, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, a pilot project was created – the Invention Support Fund, which was operated by SFII.

About 400 projects submitted to the Fund can count on co-financing of projects at the expense of our partners from the EU.
